Framework Design

Schools and trusts adopting EdTech and AI need more than individual policies. They need a coherent structure for deciding which tools to use, how staff and pupils are introduced to them, how their use is monitored, and how impact is evaluated. Without a framework, decisions tend to be made in isolation, leading to fragmented practice and uneven pupil experience.

Dendrite Education works with schools and trusts to develop frameworks for the use of EdTech and AI that give leaders, teachers, and pupils a clear and shared structure to work within. Our frameworks are designed to be practical, evidence-informed, and adaptable to your context.

Our framework development work is shaped to your school or trust and may include:

Establishing principles for the selection, evaluation, and adoption of EdTech and AI tools

Mapping the progression of staff and pupil capability, including expectations across key stages

Structuring CPD pathways aligned to defined levels of competence and confidence

Defining quality assurance and monitoring processes for technology use across the school

Setting out a model for measuring the impact of EdTech and AI on teaching and learning

Aligning the framework with existing improvement plans, curriculum design, and assessment practice

A well-defined framework creates consistency in how EdTech and AI are used across departments, year groups, and schools within a trust. It gives staff a clear reference point for their own practice, supports leaders in monitoring quality, and helps pupils experience a coherent approach to technology across their education. Over time, a framework also makes it easier to evaluate what is working, refine priorities, and demonstrate impact to governors, parents, and external stakeholders.
